I have a couple of anniversaries coming up, and this week's Sketch Saturday sketch is perfect for these.

Valentine 2017
This is for CAS(E) this Sketch, a clean and simple card sketch challenge blog that I've only just found. I suspect I'm going to be a big fan of it very quickly. This is Challenge #205.
It is also for the SJ Card Kit Club, using Claudia's lovely kit.

Valentine's card 2014
I'm not sure whether I've bent the rules too much with this card or not!
Less Is More's challenge this week is an "anything goes" one layer card. Well this doesn't look like one layer, but it IS. I cut the heart out of the kraft card and then cut another one out of red card. I embossed both, and fitted the red part into the kraft part - still one layer. Well OK, there may be a bit of tape on the back holding them together, but that doesn't count, does it? Pretty please?!
I also hope that it is not too busy for a CAS card. I think it still counts as clean and simple even though it it covered, because the embossing and inking is quite subtle and plain. Actually this photo makes the inking stand out more than it does in the cold, grey, miserable half-light of a flooded British February afternoon.
On that hope, I'm entering it into CASology's "bold" challenge for the bright red, Cute Card Thursday's "clever cutting", and Simon Says Stamp's "kraft", and Papertake Weekly's "heart" challenges.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Valentine
I'm using up strips, just scraps, but isn't this classy? I love it! And I love my man of course.
This is for:
CAS-ual Fridays "love song" challenge. The song that's been going round my head all day is Something Stupid, with the line "and then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I Love You"
Charisma Cardz: love
Cute Card Thursday: love struck
ETA: I've been surfing some lovely people's blogs and have come across this little gem of a challenge, Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. It's all about using up scraps, which is me all over. So I'm entering my card into this too. Thanks for the welcome Di!

King for a day
CASology's challenge this week is "games", CAS-ual Friday's is "markers", and Less Is More's is a deceptively simple sketch. ScrapJazz 's monthly card challenge is to trace or draw your own image. Here is my entry for all four.
I've had this idea going round my head for several years, but it is only recently that I've had the stamps to do it. Each word comes from a different stamp set, from the phrases: Thinking of you, Thank you for being my friend, Just a note to say and Happy birthday. I copied the image from a pack of playing cards (took me all afternoon - my neck is killing me!) and coloured it with Copic markers. I think that covers it all neatly.
