Ruffles at Christmas

This is one of my favourite stamps. I only had square card blanks in iridescent cream, so Ruffles is in gold, copper and bronze instead of the more traditional Christmas colours. He's also gone ginger. I like him like that.

These cards are for a swap I'm involved with. Aren't they pretty?

They're for this week's Creatalicious Challenge of Christmas and sparkles. As I've used up half a bottle of Stickles on each one I think that qualifies!

Ambitious!

I saw this concertina card on a blog and just had to work out how to make my own. Once I'd started, I was hooked. I just love the perfusion of colour!

The first is for the new next-door neighbour at our church. He has single-handedly taken on the church's garden as well as his own, and he keeps it looking quite magnificent - roses are his speciality. I made the card to give to him from the whole congregation. The other is for a cyber-friend who sent me a RAK. I'll be including it in a package of goodies that I've got for her.

These cards are for the following challenges:

Charisma Cardz: cutesy
Creative Card Crew: thankful
Stampavie: anything goes
Simon Says Stamp: photo inspiration
Truly Scrumptious: bingo (flowers, gems, punch/die cuts)

May flowers

This week at House Mouse the challenge is May flowers, and it is the same at Creative Card Crew. Basic Grey want charms, Colour Create want aqua, green, purple and white with the added option of glitter, which I've very definitely opted to add, using a Sketch Saturday sketch turned upside-down.

For this inspirational card for a dear friend, I've used scraps of Bo Bunny (the purple polka dot), Basic Grey (the aqua) from the Lemonade collection pack, and the striped scrap is so old that I have no idea what it is now. I've Sticklesed it using Star Dust and a paint brush to get that delicate edge instead of the blobby look that often comes straight out of the bottle. The charm came from Bizzy Becs on-line store and the flowers, brads, photo corners and fibre from my stash. The image of course is from House Mouse, coloured with Copic markers.

Pink'n'purple

For Friday Sketchers, House Mouse and Friends, and Creative Card Crew challenges.

I bought a little crafting gift for a friend, and needed a Hi card to slip the package into. I hope she likes this. I'm completely hooked on HM&F, and this one in particular. It's the cutest.

Dots & spots

Some cool challenges this week, for my thank you card for W for an unexpected crafty Christmas present. Basic Grey want spots and dots, AND they're having a DT call (YAYAY!), Spoonful of Sugar want a thank you card,  Bizzy Becs have a recipe: 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 ribbon, Cute Card Thursday have suggested we use up our old stash, and Friday Sketchers have this sketch:

And here's my card:

I used up some scraps of Basic Grey Lime Rickey and Lemonade for the spots and dots. Pretty cute, isn't it?

All new easel card

Today's card is all about newness - from Creative Card Crew and Simon Says, as well as Colour Create's challenge of pink, red and white with the option of hearts. With this sketch from Truly Scrumptious which I rotated and flipped, I think my easel card for a special new baby has it all covered:

Blessings card

M and I agreed just before Christmas to exchange cards, but we didn't have each other's addresses, and by the time I'd got hers, Christmas had come and gone. I received her beautiful card this morning! So here is my card for her; not really a Christmas card any longer, more a general blessings card. It was made for the Creatalicious Challenge of 1 ribbon, 5 flowers, 2 snowflakes, and some bling.
