King for a day

CASology's challenge this week is "games", CAS-ual Friday's is "markers", and Less Is More's is a deceptively simple sketch. ScrapJazz 's monthly card challenge is to trace or draw your own image. Here is my entry for all four.

I've had this idea going round my head for several years, but it is only recently that I've had the stamps to do it. Each word comes from a different stamp set, from the phrases: Thinking of you, Thank you for being my friend, Just a note to say and Happy birthday. I copied the image from a pack of playing cards (took me all afternoon - my neck is killing me!) and coloured it with Copic markers. I think that covers it all neatly.

This reminds me of one of my favourite Bowie songs, Heroes - I will be King, just for one day! Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!
